The Louis Vuitton store, on 5th Ave, has recently collaborated with Takashi Murakami once again. Redesigning the entire corner, all the way up, wrapped up in his signature Multi-color Monogram prints.
Ever seen the showcases at the Louis Vuitton flagship store? Last time I paid a visit, there was a wall of chromed surveillance cameras hovering around an LV product. This LV handbag, which was part of the Damier Graphite collection, was safely in a display case while the cameras watch the product adoringly, fixated by its beauty. The display next it was a similar scenery, but sent a different vibe to the spectators. This time the display case was cracked open and pieces of glass lie scattered on the floor, as laser beams prance everywhere, giving off the "chaos" feel. The concept proved too real for some. Police officers even entered the boutique to investigate the broken glass thinking it was true.
If you are in the "Big Apple", it's worth the visit.
I'm going to check it out myself. (walks out the door smiling)

LV recently released a limited edition reversible jacket designed by Mr. Murakami. On one side of the jacket is a solid black color, while the other side is a camouflage monogram. If this piece is a limited edition, this edition should be very costly, for it's a LV x Murakami collaboration.
