To pay tribute to all the teams that faced Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during each of their six championship victories, Jordan Brand kicked off their "Championship" series yesterday.
To go along with the two Jordan Six Rings, these two Air Jordan 1 Retro Phat Low’s also feature colors from one of the five teams, the Phoenix Suns. The first one is the “home” edition which features an all white leather upper with patent leather wrapping around the toe. Purple is displayed on the Jumpman logo on the tongue as well as for the inner collar lining and sole. The gold or “ceramic” as the official colorway states is found on the midsole as well as the Wings logo on the back heel. Finishing things off is a touch of stealth found on the tongue as well as the Swoosh on the sides.
The second colorway is the “away” version. This one features an all black nubuck upper with purple contrast stitching a white Swoosh and a ceramic gold colored midsole. A unique feature on both these sneakers is the row of six championship trophies on the back. They represent the six won by the Bulls during the ’90s. Five are silver with one being gold, the third one to be exact. That one is highlighted to represent the exact one that the Phoenix Suns took part in.
Retail on each shoe will be $95 and availability is the same as all past Air Jordan 1 Retro Phat Low colorways, limited to urban accounts.
