Event: Nike Sportswear presents Beautiful Losers "MAKE SOMETHING!!"

On August 10, we got to meet with Brian Donnelly a.k.a Kaws and Aaron Rose, and of course see the Beautiful Losers dunks. We did not get to speak with 'Kaws', be'Kaws' he had to leave early, but we did get to speak to Aaron Rose, the director of "Beautiful Losers."  He tells us a little bit about the movie and the people behind it.




Like we said, we did not get Kaws on film, but he kindly let us take a couple of pictures.




We took some pictures of some dedicated/ Hardcore "Kaws" fans, while they waited for hours on line to meet "Kaws".... unfortunately "Kaws" left early, leaving his fans to hang, but they did get to personally see the  "beautiful loser" sneakers.









The "Beautiful Loser" dunks were made to further commemorate the film's release. The beautiful loser dunks are emblazoned with still shots from the movie and these still shots on the Nike Dunks are key points in the movie. “We went back to the documentary and pulled frame stills of what we felt were key moments in the narrative. We used these moments to tell the Beautiful Losers story using the shoes as a medium, with the end result being a collection of works of art.” It is a movie all in itself, with all the "beautiful losers" dunks together.



























The event was a good experience and we will surely be there at the 22nd of August. This is because at the last day of this event, Nike will be auctioning 2 sets of these "beautiful losers" dunks away. Hope to see you there.
